I will not return without eating poha.'

Soon after talking with the labourers, the Chief Minister reached the handcart of Arvind Yadav to fulfil his promise and said, 'Now serve me the poha.' Yadav served poha to the Chief Minister. Chief Minister Chouhan ate the poha while standing and in the meantime enquired about the income and other information from Yadav.

Slut Walk
‘Besharmi Morcha’, or the ‘Slut March’, is to be organized in the State capital Bhopal, on July 17. This is in protest against the statement made by Toronto police officer, Constable Michael Sanguinetti, stating that "women should avoid getting dressed like sluts."
In New Delhi a slut walk will be held on July 31.
‘Slut walks’are being held all over the world, following the first ‘slut walk’ ever held in Toronto on April 3, 2011.
However, unlike the Toronto march, where protestors had intentionally dressed in provocative clothing, protestors in Madhya Pradesh have been requested to dress more demurely.
It is to be noted that Madhya Pradesh has recorded the highest number of rapes against women in the country.

Congress accuses MP government for wheat purchase
BHOPAL: On Sunday, Congress released  "black paper" alleging a scam to the tune of Rs 500 crore in the procurement of wheat by Madhya Pradesh government. Opposition leader in the MP Assembly Ajay Singh demanded a judicial probe into the procurement, storage and transport of 50 lakh tonne of wheat.

In a statement Ajay Singh said, “The government claims that it procured 50 lakh tonne of wheat from farmers. But there is no proper documentation for the purchase of 22 lakh tonne. We demand that an independent committee be formed headed by a retired judge for a probe into the procurement of wheat."

Madhya Pradesh ranked third this year in wheat procurement at minimum support price as compared to Punjab and Haryana.

In the past two years MP is the only state where a bonus of Rs 150 is being provided to the farmers. Wheat has been procured this year at the rate of Rs 1,270 per quintal (minimum support price Rs 1,120 plus Rs 150 bonus).

Congress alleged that wheat was not directly purchased from the farmers and the loophole was a network of traders with political connection.  Ajay Singh accused by saying, "we have reports that those farmers were paid around Rs 1,000 per quintal, while Rs 225 to Rs 250 went into the pockets of some influential people."
